I recently finished my Masters of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Melbourne where completed a capstone research project at the National Vision Research Institute of Australia (NVRI) that investigated the role of burst firing in the visual cortex of Tamar Wallabies. I have done research in fields ranging from electrophysiology to sociology. I am trained in tissue/cell culture, and traditional patch clamping and have experience performing detailed analysis with neural and electrophysiological datasets. I am particularly interested in membrane biophysics, neural information processing, and the design, maintenance and standards surrounding medical devices. I love taking on new projects and diving into a novel topic where I can apply my pre-existing skills and knowledge while simultaneously learning and growing as a researcher and engineer.
