Lead LocksmithKellogg, Brown And Root Services Jun 2007 - Jan 2009While deployed to Centralized Operating Base (COB) Speicher, I was the lead locksmith over a large U.S. military installation. Our responsibilities included repairing locking devices on Containerized Housing Units (CHU) in all Logistic Support Areas (LSA), to all locking systems in specialized areas to include keyless entry devices on secured areas. During my time at COB Speicher I was required to fly to outer Forward Operating Bases (FOB's), which would include Kirkuk, Samara, Baqouba and Talil to service or repair several different types of safes that are used by the military or civilian contractors to secure classified and non classified materials.

LocksmithDepartment Of Defense Contractors Jun 1992 - Nov 2006Installation LocksmithWhile working at Ft Leonard Wood Missouri, I was the only locksmith on a large military installation. I assisted units with key control, utilizing physical security criteria set out by Army Regulations (AR) and Law Enforcement Command, (LEC).As the Installation Locksmith I was responsible for several types of mechanical and electronic security devices from securing personal property to classified materials. I installed and maintained Closed Circuit Television, (CCTV) and Electronically Controlled Access Systems, (ECAS) and Intrusion Detection Devices (IDS) that were required by the client. I would then assist the client with programming and operation of the system.I was instrumental in standardizing hardware requirements on the installation by conferring with the appropriate government entities to include the Corps of Engineers on new construction and during remodeling of facilities. This would keep the maintenance cost down and repair time to a minimum by only stocking the materials required for maintaining the facilities on the installation.I assisted The Corps of Engineers, (COE), and the client during the pre construction phases to verify correct keying schedules to meet the customer's requirements which would determine how a facility is to be a keyed and key quantity required. I also assisted the COE in pre inspection and final inspection on new and remodeled facilities. This was to insure that all hardware that was required by the customer was installed and functioning correctly to prevent unforeseen failures.
