William Eliahu Beal is a recent graduate of Cornell University's Master of Architecture program: a rigorous graduate design studio meant to inform the next generation of aspiring architects and designers to more critically address current day and future issues surrounding the built environment. After taking 2 years off to attend to family matters, he is in search of entry-level Architectural/Junior designer positions within both the United States and abroad. He is primarily interested in working within Boston, New York City, Chicago, Texas, and Florida. William is in the process of applying to positions and interviewing with potential employers.William’s passion for architecture started during his time in drafting school. After drafting school, he studied architecture at both The University of Florida and Cornell University and won multiple awards and scholarships. In 2013, William received the Honors Scholar Graduate Achievement Award from Edison State College due perfect GPA. After graduating from Edison State College with high honors, William applied to the University of Florida School of Architecture and was accepted into the summer program of 2014. During his time at UF, William Beal became a 2016 Dean’s List recipient due to his high academic record. He also received both the 2016 Ferendino Endowment and the title of Honors Graduate. After taking a year off to work at an architecture internship, William applied to Cornell's Master of Architecture program. During his internship, William participated in the 2018 Sarasota Architecture Foundation’s Paul Rudolph Scholarship competition. an award that is given to those who appreciate both the design theory and architecture of Paul Rudolph. William was awarded the scholarship. Shortly after the competition, William was accepted into Cornell’s M.Arch program. He was awarded an annual scholarship and spent three and a half years enhancing his knowledge of architecture.William Beal worked as both a drafter and intern for Robert Andrys Architect, Inc, gaining exposure to innovative green building practices. After UF, William worked as an intern for Architecture Joyce Owens LLC, working primarily on residential projects in Fort Myers and Sanibel Island. During Graduate school, William worked as an intern for DSDG Architects. During his internship, William collaborated directly with principal Mark Sulatana and project manager Chris Richard on multiple projects within Sarasota Florida, ranging from residential projects, renovations, adaptive reuse, and mixed-use projects.
