Managed the shipping logistics of both rail car and bulk truck delivery on a just in time basis for the purchased wheat and coordinated those deliveries with each mills' unload schedules, seasonality spikes/dips and maintenance down times. Responsible for handling the resale of all shipments that did not meet General Mills' high quality thresholds.Manged the pricing risks associated with those grain inventories at each mill by actively hedging in the futures and options markets at the Kansas City Board of Trade, Chicago Board of Trade and the Minneapolis Grain Exchange.Worked with the Sales division to provide special pricing to acquire new business and for retaining existing customers during contract renegotiations. Served on several committees at the Kansas City Board of Trade.
