Spec out and implement services within the Optics platform. Design and implement tools that empower engineers while improving dev velocity within EDR (Optics). Educate engineers on AWS including best security practices. Operate as the technical resource to implement DevOps and DevSecOps requests within the EDR platform of ~50 engineers.Achievements:Redesigned the service pipeline to simplify the entire process of creating, testing, and deploying while also making it more customizable. Added A/B testing with Blue/Green deployments leveraging ECS. Implemented a new process for creating and retrieving a service’s sensitive data such as database passwords. Improved the testing process to reduce run time and lower operating costs.Wrote the documentation on creating, managing, and migrating a service to the EDR Cloud platform. The documentation outlines everything from service repo structure to testing and monitoring. It also details the process of creating infrastructure and effectively sizing/provisioning to help lower costs while meeting the needs of our users. EDR specific AWS documentation is also provided that covers how services within AWS can communicate with one another securely. The first engineer in EDR to successfully port legacy Optics infrastructure to Docker and ECS.Worked with an external team to help them rewrite a new service such that it aligns with organizational initiatives.Created the proposal on how to abstract away complex configurations from engineers when creating an AWS resource/service. This included efforts to standardize contributions between all of Cylance’s DevOps teams and the process to integrate the changes with existing tools. This effort was then coordinated between the Director of EDR, my manager, and all of DevOps.

Responsible for the design and implementation of numerous RICE services. Operate as the technical resource for SQL databases. Assist with the architecture of SQL databases as well as writing complex queries and performance tuning.Achievements:Oversaw every aspect of the Workflow Orchestrator (WO) from start to finish. This includes the proposal, infrastructure, database architecture, database implementation, integration frameworks, pipelines, message brokers, the service’s architecture and its implementation. The WO is an ETL PaaS that fans out incoming artifacts to appropriate services. The services generate the output which is then normalized by the integration framework and submitted back to the WO. That output is then persisted to SQL and ElasticSearch. The WO also has retry processes, error handling, and backoff mechanisms.Designed, architected, and implemented the Data Curation Service and its SQL database. This service acts as a SOR for all samples used for ML training and validation. It keeps track of labels and classifications that meet the efficacy defined by Threat Research and Data Science. It also keeps a record of all model sets and a process to generate a CSV used by Data Science when creating a model. The queries to facilitate this are highly optimized as there are over 1 billion records in several of the SQL tables.

Responsible for the full stack development of Stealth Monitoring's employee portal using Python, Django, JS, HTML, and CSS. Other projects include scripts to automate various processes around Stealth Monitoring's core business. Examples: A threaded TCP server used to help inform IT of client side hardware failures; Automated ticket creation based upon request response cycles from client hardware; Script to Check for bounced E-Mails on Mailgun's API with out alert to employees on failure.

Work with and develop software solutions for concept/seed stage/ and start up companies. This included projects like building a call center analytic tool from the ground up using:Python (Django, Redis, Celery, Pagination, Django Rest Framework), Javascript (JQuery), CSS, HTML, Java (CMU Sphinx, Hibernate, Spring, Swing), SQL (PostgreSQL). I've also worked with the acclaimed 3D Modeling and Printing company Captured Dimensions (Featured on Tech Crunch and Reddit) during my time as a developer and managing partner at Flashbulb LLC. I helped Captured Dimension improve their API, update their modeling scripts, and add additional functionality to their Django based consumer and employee portal.
