•Tested and analyzed Dynamic Thrust measuring watts output, thrust in pounds, and airspeed.• Analyzed airfoils (XFLR5), propeller diameter, and propeller pitch (Dynamic Thrust Analysis) to determine the best wing shape – propeller configuration for the aircraft mission achieving an 18% increment in thrust at cruising speed compared to the previous competition.• Performed aircraft configuration analysis, and weight and speed estimations (XFLR5, Fusion360, and STAR-CCM+).• Worked on aircraft dimensioning and stability analysis. (Excel, STAR CCM+, XFLR5, and Fusion360)• Manufactured the aircraft using CNC Laser Cutter, 3D Printers, wood, and composites materials, completing 10 successful test flights and obtaining 4th place overall, 4th place in mission performance, and 1st place in technical presentation.

• Researched carbon fiber’s mechanical properties to ensure structural integrity and validated data with hand calculations and physical tests to prevent structural failure during flight.• Designed (Siemens NX) the fuselage, empennage, and landing gear of an aircraft that can carry 9 pounds of water achieving a 20% weight reduction on the airframe compared to the previous year.• Manufactured the aircraft using CNC Laser Cutter, 3D Printers, and common workshop tools completing 12 successful flights, and obtaining 2nd place in mission performance in the 2023 SAE Aero Design.

• Conducted EDM tests on Makino EDM sinker, experimenting with various materials and electrodes to establish an optimized process database for Lean Lab operations.• Utilized Haas mini mill independently to fabricate a nameplate, gaining hands-on and CAM programming experience, as well as understanding of milling processes.• Analyzed defects per engine data across GE internal shops using Flight Deck tools.• Led a 5S lean manufacturing initiative, creating a machine tool catalog to streamline manufacturing preparation time by approximately 5%.• Supported a 3P Kaizen Event at a GEA shop, redesigning plant layout and optimizing workflow, achieving a reduction in workgroup flow time from 26 days to 0.4 days and flow distance from 2000ft to 134ft.• Designed fixtures enhancing GE manufacturing processes and customer product outcomes.• Enhanced laser engraving precision by developing 3D printed probes to measure distance between parts and laser lens, resulting in a 60% reduction in engraving time and 30% decrease in part damage risk.
