Environmental researcher, biologist, and volunteer. I enjoy discovering new things every time I head out to the field, and sharing those experiences once I've returned to the office to write the report. This year alone I've seen moose, wolves, bison, and two wolverines.I am currently working a forestry contract position for Silvacom, and have previously worked full-time doing wildlife sweeps, reporting, monitoring, mapping, and more at both CORE Geomatics and Vertex Resources. I have worked in any and all weather conditions from Sundre to Zama City, written environmental reports start to finish based on tracks and data I've recorded myself, and met and worked with multiple stakeholders ranging from First Nations groups to Industry clients. I can spot ID most plants and animals at the species level, and have a soft spot for mosses.I have previous experience working outdoors for the University of Alberta at the Ellerslie Research Station and Breton Plots, and at the EMEND facility north of Peace River.When I'm not working, I'm practicing Karate to achieve my next belt (green!), volunteering for Otafest in Calgary (making kids smile and raising money for charities) ,and participating in community programs with friends (such as rec leagues and board games).
