An Aerospace, Marine and Nuclear Systems Engineering professional, having actively served in a wide range of engineering and management positions in these fields since 1957. Currently engaged in consulting work in Huntsville, AL As CEO and President of KEI, provide direct access to the experience and expertise of myself and associates, for original design development and problem troubleshooting in all three of the above fields of experience. Current focus is on rocket vehicle systems, aerospace propulsion systems. and overall low cost space access infrastructure. Was granted patents on oxygen-rich combustion devices, gas-fired hybrid rockets, frozen cryogen hybrid rocket motors and vortex combustion hybrid and liquid rocket combustion chambers. Earlier patents were on air cushion vehicles. Currently investigating Nuclear Thermal Propulsion in Vortex-flow nuclear engines, high pressure liquid rocket engine cycles that do not require turbomachinery to achieve arbitrarily high chamber pressures, as well as extended range reentry systems. Originated and directed the design/operations studies as well as detailed launch cost projection for the Universal Space Launch Vehicle (USLV) family which offer very low cost access to orbit for a wide range of payloads up to 300,000 lb. Originated and directed the design, installation and operations of a supporting 50,000 lb thrust liquid and hybrid rocket engine test facility adapted to a wide range of propellant selections and featuring fully modern data acquisition systems.
