After joining a predecessor company of Manulife Securities' Capital Markets Group in 1999, through three business combinations and progressively more senior roles I have gained in excess of 24 years experience focused in the areas of investment banking, equity capital markets and investment research.I am responsible for managing the financing process for Manulife Securities’ corporate clients with experience in a broad range of industries including financial services, real estate, infrastructure, technology and natural resources. Over the course of my career, I have acted in either lead or syndicate roles on over 1,000 financing transactions through a variety of structures including common and preferred equity, debt, trust and limited partnerships, placing greater than $3 billion of capital through mandates which in total raised in excess of $200 billion.I am responsible for oversight of the creation and provision of Manulife Securities’ in-house and third-party research content and was previously responsible for financial analysis and the preparation of value-based equity research reports and recommendations focusing on growth oriented mid-cap Canadian companies. In addition, I also have experience providing strategic advisory, business case planning, financial analysis, modeling and valuation services.I represent the Capital Markets Group as a member of both Manulife Securities’ New Issue Liability and Product Risk committees as well as serving as a Health and Wellness Champion within the broader Manulife Financial organization.I hold a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Degree, with a specialization in Finance, from the University of British Columbia and am a Governor General's Academic Medal recipient. I also hold the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and am a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Vancouver.
