I began my career with SuperShuttle as a driver almost 35 years ago! Great memories of growing the original "SHARED RIDE" system that actually put people together in vehicles with a proven system and let them share the ride to the airport at a discounted rate.Thanks to our original founder Mitch Rouse for his vision when he walked into his dispatch room at his LA Taxi operation and noticed that he had 4 or 5 cabs all in the same neighborhood and said "wouldn’t it be great if we could send one big vehicle in there and pick them all up and give them a discount?" And the idea was born!Fun Fact: Did you know the original fleet vehicles for SuperShuttle were Volkswagon Vans that were driven by all female drivers wearing a uniform that consisted of "Hot Pants"! (the same uniform that the Southwest Flight Attendants were wearing at the time)

I began at SuperShuttle DFW as a driver in 1986. I held the positions of Driver, Dispatcher, Operations Manager, Director of ExecuCar, Assistant General Manager and was on the start up team for operations in Miami, Sacramento and Washington D.C. In 1999 I was promoted to General Manager in Austin Texas and in 2001 my wife Kristi and I purchased the Austin Operation.
