Currently contracted to provide enterprise software support to a local manufacturing business. Day 2 Day includes SCCM administration, application automation and customization, project administration, customer support and diagnostic work of all kinds.

Performing application packaging, re-engineering and QA of core applications for Windows 7 desktops and mobile platforms with automated deployment to Navy Networks using Radia and Client Automation Enterprise. Extensive use of VMWare, Admin Studio and InstallShield applications.

Worked with application packaging and delivery team creating solutions for the Navy OCONUS installations using Microsoft System Center Configuation Manager and App-V for Windows 7 and XP deployments

Performed application packaging, re-engineering and QA of legacy applications as well as current commercial software migrating/installing to Win7 and WinXP on Navy Networks using Radia and Client Automation Enterprise in a virtualized environment. Provided support to testing teams as well as Navy/USMC clients and vendors. Seat imaging via SCCM. Performed security scans via Retina. Used other assorted tools such as Installshield/Admin studio and ORCA.

Was hired by the L3 after completion of the project to administer two networks I had migrated for them and provide technical support to all staff. Learned a great deal about working with DoD systems and networks during this project that helped transition into a more active role in directly supporting software development efforts.Performed quite a bit of QA and software testing, end user tech support and systems administration during this period. Worked with NMCI IST on rollout of the different versions of software our team produced and to work out problems that would crop up due to changes to network and client systems would impact operations. Started working with application packaging during this period to ensure that the complicated installations of client and server software could be managed more effectively.Wrote technical documentation for the software packages I created that were used by Systems Center support staff as well as many other documentation deliverables.Was also put in charge of creating, administering and securing the three system platforms for QA and development testing, integration and production systems. They were originally physical Servers and were later virtualized. Continued on this path during the many changes of the product through it’s end of life cycle when superseded by the NERP system currently in use.Transitioned to similar project for the Department of Defense Explosive Safety Board utilizing a SharePoint front end that also involved software deployment packaging as well as administration of testing environments including local VMWare workstation and VSphere/ESX hosted environments. Worked on the team handling the migration effort to move from SharePoint 2003 to 2007 and finally to 2010 including testing and evaluating the functionality of several third party migration suites. Gained a good deal of experience working with Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server and Microsoft SQL server 2005 and 2008 during this period.
