I had two Summer Internships with T.C.G. The first Summer I worked with the Concrete Division on a project constructing the concrete portion of a steel mill in Illinois. On this project, I was able to work closely with the Field Engineer and communicated with the client. I was also able to work hands-on in the field which included learning to weld and understanding the process to form, place, and finish concrete. During my second internship, the project involved installing piping for a steel mill in Arkansas. I was able to work with the logistics team, field engineer, pipefitters, and the testing team. The internship allowed me to learn about the tracking of the job progress and the logistics of material movements to the right crews. This was also an opportunity to work on a job that was affected by COVID-19, which taught me how to adapt to a situation that was not optimal to work in.

Worked with a crew constructing various landscape features, including walls, sidewalks, waterfalls, ponds, and general landscaping. Learned how to operate multiple pieces of equipment and was responsible for transporting equipment to and from the job site.

Worked as a crew leader responsible for transporting crews to the Jobsite and cleaning Koi ponds in the Atlanta / Marietta area. A key part of our job was customer satisfaction. Worked forty-five to sixty hours during the week.
