• Migrate user's existing Windows XP workstations to Windows 7 using Dell's Kase Migration tool. • Current workstation was connected to pre-imaged Windows 7 PC using crossover cable. • Kase tool was used to backup user profile, email and personal documents to the replacement pre-imaged PC. • Kase tool was then run from new PC to restore the migrated data into the new Windows 7 user profile. o Laptops were backed up to external USB drive then restored to the pre-installed PC from there. o In rare cases, manual backups had to be done if errors were generated using the Kase tool.
