Provide network support of the Army’s CONUS Network environmentInstall, configure, and troubleshoot Top Level Architecture (TLA) network devices in support of multiple mission areas.Ensure all network devices and configurations are compliant with current DoD and Army regulations.Respond to, update and record all work in the Remedy ticketing system.Create and update network diagrams and documentation as requiredEstablishes network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols.Establishes network by evaluating network performance issues and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls.Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor.Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation.Prepares users by designing and conducting training programs; providing references and support.Upgrades network by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements.Performs other duties as assigned

Responsible for the Secure Internet Connection for incoming units training at the Fort Polk Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC).Deployed, configured, upgraded and programmed Cisco routers, switches and IP phones for the numerous Resident Training Units (RTU).Administered voice and data Digital Tactical Monitoring (DTM) equipment for numerous RTU’s.Constructed and troubleshot connections with fiber optic cable and CAT5.Maintained accountability and inventory of all assigned equipment.Managed network performance, configuration changes, device inventory, and access lists through basic SNMP and the SorlarWinds Network Performance MonitorDeployed, operated and maintained Tactical Microwave Network Trailer; proficient with Superior Access Solutions(SAS) antenna controller and CIELO microwave IP radio equipment

•Site Lead instructor for the 162nd Infantry Brigade tactical radio course; trained over 6000 Security Forces Advisor Team (SFAT) members from lower enlisted to Senior level Soldiers, as well as Department of Defense Civilians from all Branches of the military. •Managed course curriculum; maintained 100% inventory of all equipment and sensitive items daily.•Trained, mentored and managed 4 additional instructors and SFAT’s on current and new tactical radio technologies, to include Blue Force Tracker( FBCB2), Radio over IP(ROIP), Voice over IP(VOIP), Harris 117G Tactical Network, Single Channel Ground Airborne Radio System(SINGARS), Tactical Satellite(TACSAT), Automated Net Control Device (ANCD), Simple Key Loader (SKL), Automated Battle Command Systems (ABCS); performed software and programming upgrades.•Continuously sought new technology to upgrade the current training program; developed 10 workstations with several Virtual Machine training databases for Soldiers to utilize during free time and breaks to further develop their training. •Attended weekly synchronization meetings with the senior leadership to ensure classes were scheduled and properly coordinated; de-conflicted SFAT training with CECOM resident and internal unit training.

•Responsible for the Battlefield Manual and Automated Signal Support Systems and Terminal Devices supporting 500 personnel and 250 computers accountable for supervision of 16 Soldiers and $5M of communications equipment.•Communication responsibilities includes the Advanced Systems Improvement Program (ASIP) Single Channel Ground Airborne Radio (SINGARS), Blue Force Tracker ( FBCB2), Command Post of the Future (CPOF), Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS), Harris Radio Systems for High Frequency and FM modulation, Tactical Radio over IP Networking and Satellite communications.•Consistently maintained 98% readiness rate during all four combat rotations for all communications systems.•Established the Iraqi Security Infrastructure Battalions command and control node enabling communication over 100 kilometers.•Successfully designed and implemented C2 nodes for security forces to secure Iraqi infrastructures.•Managed the Command Post Node (CPN), a large satellite on a trailer for connectivity to headquarters through Internet connectivity on a SIPR connection and a NIPR connection.•The CPN included several power supplies, switches, and routers that supported a Windows based network of up to 50 computers.•Designed a Tactical Command Post Vehicle using “state of art” communication platforms and antenna systems which could be mobilized quickly and able to breakdown with ease.•Established a Backup Power Plan in coordination with Disaster Recovery for network outages eliminating the loss of current data.•Spearheaded the rewiring of 4 buildings utilizing a wire tagging policy enabling the tracking and quick resolution of troubleshooting network problems.•Started as a Network Administrator and through promotions and successful leadership, have progressed to complete leadership over all Brigade Communications.
