Responsible for implementing and managing the Quality Assurance and Asset Management program for Operations that ensures all MBTA asset classes are recorded, maintained and in compliance with MBTA's and regulatory requirements ensuring a commitment to maintaining MBTA's assets in a State of Good Repair. Also responsible for merging all Asset Management activities, whether formal or informal under a single organization to ensure that assets are cataloged and managed consistently across the MBTA's transportation services and technical disciplines.This position is part of a trans-formative group charged with driving the technical leadership of the MBTA across all engineering and modal assets. The Office of the Chief Engineer is responsible for Maintenance Engineering support, Capital Construction Engineering Support, Technical Engineering Standards and Direction, Asset Management, and Quality Management.• Assists in the development of supporting documentation for funding and grant agreements with federal, state, and local agencies• Coordinate with Capital Programs for the setting of project priorities, development of future capital projects, scopes of work, and monitor the progress of Capital projects. • Represents Engineering to other departments, elected officials and outside agencies as directed by the Chief Engineer; coordinates assigned activities with those of other departments and outside agencies and organizations. • Provides staff assistance to the Chief Engineer; participates on a variety of boards, commissions and committees; prepares and present staff reports and other necessary correspondence.• Develop budgets for proposed projects, evaluating various impacts of proposed projects to determine feasibility, providing recommendations to executive management and department managers and participating on technical committees and panels.

Manages transit and rail asset management projects and programs in the Northeast region. Leads the effort to assist clients in coordinating activities ensuring organizations realize value from their assets. Project Manager supporting transit and rail clients in tasks related to asset management implementation including strategic asset management, capital planning, condition assessment, financial need forecasting and prioritization.Leads the development of and work on complex projects involving the implementation of leading edge asset management technologies and processes.Leads staff on tasks within an overall asset management implementation program supporting large organizations.Establish direct relationship with clients to support key technology projects on site and in the field.

Responsible to develop and Implement Enterprise Asset Management initiatives for all infrastructure assets including Power, Communications, Signal Track, Structures, and GCT Maintenance. Additional responsibilities include oversight, guidance, and coordination of asset management initiatives within the Engineering Department and Maintenance of Way.

Provides asset management and configuration management to ensure compliance with FTA State of Good Repair regulations for new and existing facilities and equipment. Researches and reviews facility drawings and other documentation to ensure complete and up-to-date information is recorded and dispersed pertaining to all asset classifications. Provides related engineering assistance for redesign or maintenance of facilities and equipment. Manages the Asset and Configuration Department consisting of all Configuration and Maintenance Planners responsible for Fleet Equipment, Facilities, and Power and Way. Ensures District compliance with asset management objectives and programs. Responsible to support organizational change and communicate the benefits of asset management. Dedicates appropriate resources to ensure asset management improvement programs can be successful. Coordinates all enterprise-level asset management activities and ensures all asset-level activities are supportive of the overall asset management strategy. Communicates asset management activities, accomplishments, challenges, risks, etc. to relevant stakeholders.

Responsible for developing and maintaining asset models in GCRTA's asset database management system (Ultramain). My duties include developing and tracking quantifiable goals, metrics, and key performance indicators necessary for management by data. I also develop preventative maintenance programs for all facility assets, and ensure that Facility Managers are on task, and following preventative maintenance guidelines. Other responsibilities include managing all Facilities Maintenance Planners, and acting as a Liaison between Operations and Engineering. I support Operations interest in new construction and facility modifications made to the design during construction. These duties include making sure modifications made to the design of the facility are reflected in the as-built drawings and are correct.

Champion in the development and tracking of quantifiable goals, metrics, and key performance indicators. Champion for management by data. Owner of the Preventative Maintenance Program, staging processes, and UltraMain Maintenance and Material System. Scheduling leader for all maintenance activities. Partner with Material Planners to ensure parts availability. Partner in the development of budget recommendations for revenue vehicle equipment maintenance, shop tools and equipment, systems maintenance and stores functions. Develops and improves Planning Partnerships with both customers and suppliers involved in the maintenance process. Practices safety precautions and measures at all times. Position may report to Bus or Rail. Performs other duties of a similar nature as may be required.

Rail Equipment Service (447) for the overhauling process dealing with all heavy- and light rail equipment. Updated all information in work orders for each train overhauled. These reports included cost, parts inventory, and labor time. Ensured all couplers were rebuilt with all new components and installed properly.
