Chief Medical Officer And Chief Quality Officer
CurrentThe System Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Chief Quality Officer (CQO) is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and has direct management of medical staff credentialing, privileging, peer-review and medical staff appointments of all providers (physicians and advanced practice providers). Direct reports include all of UH Hospital CMO’s. The Chief Quality Officer oversees all aspects of ambulatory and in-patient quality, safety, risk, accreditation, patient experience, meaningful use (including MACRA/MIPS programs) and infection prevention through the UH Quality Institute. The Quality Institute (QI) is integral to the education and research regarding quality and safety initiatives throughout the UH System. The CQO works directly with the legal department, human resources and corporate compliance on all aspects of by-laws, compliance, and disciplinary actions. The CQO reviews and approves all registry data contracts and provides evaluation and oversight for performance improvement projects related to the multiple registries. The CQO is the administrative liaison to the Quality Committee of the Board.
