Even before lasers were introduced to the public via the movie Star Wars.In my first years out of university, I was fortunate to work with Luis Alvarez, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1968. Along with other laser technology pioneers Bill McMahan and Jim Hobart, we started on the ground floor as laser technology was being discovered and molded into a useful form. These association has led to a lifelong study of laser technology and its application across many fields. In 1987, I shifted focus to the application of lasers in the dental industry. Since then, I have overseen the research, development and commercialization of over a dozen dental instruments. Teeth whitening procedures is only one area that I specifically led the charge. We have the best all-tissue and soft-tissue laser on the market - and the only laser that is utilized on both. Having been at the company since 2002 in multiple leadership roles, I provide continuity for our doctors/dentist relationships. If they have a question, I get the call. I joined BIOLASE in 2002 as the Director of Marketing before advancing to the VP, Sales and Marketing and VP, International positions. In these roles, I was instrumental in establishing BIOLASE’s U.S. and international distribution channels as well as our direct and inside sales force. ----------► Passions----------An avid collector of rare guitars, I enjoy listening to rock influences like the Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Eric Clapton and the Beatles. You might even catch me playing a tune at an industry conference.
