Worked as a project student within Professor Ali Tavassoli's lab group at the University of Southampton. I continued to work here for a month past the end date of the project.My Project was aimed at synthesising small peptides for use as potential inhibitors of PPI interactions key to the HIV life cycle.

Provided tutoring of GCSE science to a number of students during the summer, easter, and christmas breaks.

Employed as a research intern at the Johnson Matthey Technology Centre in Reading for one year, working in the Emissions Control department working on diesel oxidation catalysts.Specialised in designing and testing precious metal diesel oxidation catalysts.Presented findings in group meetings to colleagues at Johnson Matthey, in addition to academic staff, supervisors and peers at University of Southampton.Regularly submitted extensive and detailed reports to my supervisor detailing research progress. Experience in analysing and evaluating large volumes of data from techniques such as: XRD, mercury porosimetry, NMR, TPD, and selective catalytic activity tests (SCAT).
