Develop, implement, and maintain Environmental Health and Safety programs to ensure compliance with all applicable government regulations and company policies, standards and values.Facilitates accident management activities, investigations and associated record-keeping. Identify, implement and track corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Performs hazard assessments and analyze data relating to risks. Assess risk and makes recommendations to control hazards. Manage life safety, fire and property risk management programs. Work closely with local government offices to secure, revise and/or maintain applicable environmental and hazardous materials permits. Manage and/or sponsor applicable waste disposal and recycling programs. Sponsors Site Safety Committee thereby fostering employee involvement in EHS activities. Identifies and addresses site EHS issues and employee concerns via the Committee and local leadership. Implement and maintain employee training programs for topics related to health, safety and the environment. Responsible for developing appropriate emergency plans and response capabilities. Participate in establishing overall strategic vision and direction for EHS Site Operations. Provide primary interface and recommendations to the company EHS Management System. Responsible for assisting the ESH Manager in administration, leadership and oversight of all activities related to the health, safety and environmental programs in accordance with OSHA, federal, state, and Exelis policies and procedures. Worked with SENSOR Product Lines and Functional Areas to ensure employee safety and environmental compliance. Communicate and apply ESH objectives, policies and regulations while "teaming" project leads and SENSOR employees that will ensure the success of the project and meet ESH requirements. Responsible for the safety and hazardous material programs and policies, work site assessments and facility safety. Assist SENSOR ESH manager develop, update, deliver and track OSHA and EPA safety training. Assist SENSOR ESH manager in developing and implementing ESH Program throughout SENSOR. Assist SENSOR ESH manager in preparing for compliance audit from Exelis, OSHA and EPA. Developed and conducted special subjects training programs (fall-protection, confined space, lock-out/tagout, fork lift). Conduct facility ESH audits to ensure compliance with Federal, State and local safety regulations. Conduct special environmental and safety studies and work with internal and external customers to solve technical and complex problems that require creative thinking and knowledge of more advanced Environmental, Safety and Health concepts.
