The Insurance /Provider Relationship Specialist is responsible for obtaining patient referrals from both the system through PHM call center, visits and interaction. Incumbent is to act as a liaison between PHM, national network Insurance providers and system specialty providers. The Insurance /Provider Relations Specialist perform duties that support the goals of referral growth through provider satisfaction, education and communication, will also gathers relevant insurance information from prospective patients; verifying coverage, deductible, and network benefits with 100% accuracy by working with a variety of providers... The Insurance/Provider Relationship specialist – will gather information for PHM to become credentialed with in network providers and establish contractual agreements .The Insurance /Provider Relations Specialist performs duties to support the goals and objectives of the PHM in its efforts to provide and market programs/services and strengthen relationships with physicians/providers and customers.

Lafayette, Louisiana Area

Responsible for researching individual payor utilization statistics for existing contracts and potential contracts.  Responsibilities include; creating payor value propositions, research, and development of payor utilization reports, ongoing reporting of payor value status (therapy compliance, utilization numbers by payor).  Understand and comply with all governmental, regulatory and Viemed authorization and compliance regulations/policies including but not limited to Medicare and Medicaid programs  Review of patient charts for appropriate charting, charges, allowable, co-pays and supporting documentation.  Follow-up with Payor Relations & Network Development to plan value propositions for new and existing payors.  Identify and report to management payer issues with regards to utilization projects.  Other duties/projects as assigned.

Develops the provider network through contract negotiations, relationship development, and servicing. Create new revenue streams. Primary focus of this is my recredentialing and contracting negotiating contract terms. Typically works with providers which may include, but are not limited to, large insurance, commercial, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, along with professional providers, practice groups, small medical groups, providers in competitive markets, and providers with greater familiarity with respiratory care concepts.Contracts tend to be more standard and customize.Fee schedules are fairly standardized with reimbursement models limited and well-defined, with the ability to request a flat fee rate. I create intradepartmental projects or smaller projects impacting multiple departments. Operates with limited supervision, elevating unusual situations to upper management as required.Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:Solicits participation in the network and conducts re-contracting efforts as needed.Serves as a communication link between professional providers and the company.Conducts limited negotiations and drafts documents. Assists in preparing financial projections as required.
