Investigated and tested various optimization algorithms for integration into prototype reservoir simulation workflow enhancements. Investigations included literature reviews, critical analysis of papers, and evaluation of algorithms given a specified set of requirements. A subset of reviewed algorithms was chosen to be implemented for later integration into the enhanced reservoir simulation workflows.Chosen optimization algorithms were developed using SciPy and Python as scripts testing their speed through different tests.Further investigation was conducted into the capabilities of quantum computing-based optimization algorithms.
