• I analysed the bank’s liquidity position in preparation for the Individual Liquidity Adequacy Assessment (ILAA) project as required by the FSA.• I analysed and assessed the bank’s liquidity position. I forecasted the cash flows of the bank to determine liquidity shortfalls and the main liquidity drivers of the bank.

• Build yield curves from deposit and swap rates to discount trades open at month end to the present value.• Successfully ceased bifurcation on all FX trades. This involved extensive analysis and subsequent change of the current transaction models on all trades this had an effect on (basically all FX derivatives where forward points were posted to interest lines within the Fonterra P&L). • Education of the wider finance staff outside of treasury about FX options and how they function and value while they have yet to be exercised (i.e. the impact of intrinsic and time value of options)• Furnished analytic commentaries on significant movements during the month within the FX and interest related figures. Improved the transparency of month end management reporting balances through engineering the treasury system so debt, interest and FX are separated out into distinct lines within the general ledger.• Mastered the structure of the treasury reporting system in a short amount of time. In doing so, I was able to provide support for all departments with regards to intercompany funding requirements and bank facility set ups.• In having an in depth knowledge of the treasury reporting system, I was able to set up and see through from front office to back office, the recording, monitoring and accounting of all commodity trades traded with the CME for the company. Commodity trades were mainly in the form of forwards and futures.
