While there, I supervised a team of 6 consultants and contractors and partnered with Sales, Research and Development (R&D), Support, Training, and Cloud teams throughout the project. I also directed the project budget, roadmapping, reporting, scrum events, project tracking, and client communications.Selected Accomplishments:• Increased revenue $1.2M by delivering the platform on time and working with Sales to onboard healthcare clients.• Improved product performance by recommending the use of the Plan Benefit Package (PBP) database as the benefit data source of truth for Medicare AEP regulatory documents.• Enhanced efficiency by implementing a user interface to allow the automation of additional custom data during the creation of enrollment documents.

This was a promotion to direct a team of 9 responsible for the accurate and on-time filing of all licenses at this $33B health insurance company, where I managed systems and processes to ensure delivery to state Department of Health and Department of Insurance agencies. I was responsible for all involved forms and data, including officer and executive biographical affidavits, fingerprints, new license applications, license renewals, and network filings.Selected Accomplishments:• Facilitated $17M in potential added revenue by ensuring all licenses secured and filed properly.• Played a major role in the success of the Aetna / Humana merger by managing necessary submissions of documents and licenses.

During this period, I oversaw the implementation and integration of the SmartSummary (Medicare and Commercial), Smart-Results, SmartSummary Spending Accounts, Medicare Annual Communications, Home Health Aid questionnaire and fulfillment, Provider Welcome Kits, and Commercial and Medicare drug list/formulary products, along with the expansion of the Medicare SmartSummary to include CarePlus and medical claims for the Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MAPD) and Medicare Advantage (MA) beneficiaries. I supervised a team of 12 analysts and consultants, provided strategic direction for multiple initiatives, and partnered with various lines of business to determine value propositions and bottom line impact. In addition, I carried out project scoping and resource allocation.Selected Accomplishments:• Saved $28M and streamlined workflow by implementing a new system to automate the transfer of benefit data from the plan repository to the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) PBP software. Met all Key Performance Indicators (KPI).• Implemented the industry’s first non-model Medicare EOB, which provided Humana with a major competitive advantage for 4 years.• Played a major role in Humana earning a patent for the Smart Summary Statements product.• Enabled $500,000 in savings by implementing the CarePlus SmartSummary Statement product.• Recognized with 2 awards for outstanding performance.

As one of the first QA Analysts for the Integrated Consumer Experience (ICE), I was brought in to implement QA process and test the first PDP SmartSummary Statement for Medicare (Part D EOB). During my first year with the QA Team, I was promoted to a QA Lead and was given additional responsibilities, which included managing two associates.

I tested point of sale (POS) equipment used in restaurants and I ensured the accuracy of inventory based on POS-generated sales information. I also implemented the company’s first enterprise back-of- house web-based software used in Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and KFC restaurants.
