I have tried many cases to verdict before both judges and juries in Ohio. Several of these trials included the successful defenses and prosecution of insurance companies in bad faith actions. I have also successfully defended a $27 million securities fraud matter and represented Grace Cathedral in the Ohio Supreme Court Case of Grace Cathedral v. Testa, 143 Ohio St. 3d 212, 2015-Ohio-2067. Recent notable cases include, Citizens for Responsible Green Govt. v. Green, Slip Opinion No. 2018-Ohio-3489.] and Acosta v. Cathedral Buffet, Inc., No. 17-3427 (6th Cir. 2018).In 2018, I was honored to serve as the President of the Akron Bar Association. Currently, I sit as the District 11 member of the Ohio State Bar Associations Board of Governors. I am AV rated from the Martindale Hubbell Law Directory and have been selected as a Super Lawyer for 2013-2017 and 2020-2023.Born in Akron and growing up in North Canton, Ohio, I graduated from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1984 and earned a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree from the University of Akron in 1982.
