Never in a million years did I think I would end up studying computer science, I had always assumed I would end up somewhere in the medical field. While I gave it a shot it did not end up being for me, turns out I liked the problem-solving aspect of the field but it lacked the creativity and freedom of software development. Since taking my first CS course in python I fell in love and never looked back. CS has shown me that not every problem only has one solution and things can always be improved upon.While studying at university I have taken a variety of courses such as Python, Android, C and C++, Data Structures. Every course has brought a new challenges but also a new level of understanding and different ways to approach each problem. Seeing how different languages are optimized for different tasks and can lead programs to have different uses is fascinating to me. In this field it feels like more I learn the more I see how much more there is to learn and to be honest it excites me.My goal is to get more hands on experience in many different areas of the field but also to work with lots of different people. As a university student I have met all sorts of people with wildly different backgrounds and perspectives which has helped open my own. My hope is to continue to meet new people in the space and to learn and grow with them, whether that is a chat over coffee or building something new and innovative as coworkers.
