Developed, managed, and administered the Clery Act and Drug-Free Schools compliance programs utilizing best practices taken from the Department of Education Final Program Reviews (audits) and Code of Federal Regulation, which informs the Clery Act and is interpreted regularly. Worked closely with other institutional compliance partners to ensure legislative changes and updated precedents were shared. These cross-functional relationships included partnerships within the Office of General Counsel, Title IX, Dean of Students, Student Affairs, Risk Management, and the Office of Real Estate. Compiled, prepared, published, and distributed various reports based on timelines set by the Department of Education. Ensured notices complied with statutory requirements and informed recipients about crimes occurring on and around the ASU campuses. Served as the custodian of record for all Clery and Drug-Free Schools data. Established, gathered/collected, organized, maintained, filed, and ensured data and record systems contained accurate and easily accessible information. Collaborated with senior leadership during media and Department of Education investigations and reviews. Coordinated and trained institutional stakeholders on Clery Act requirements. Developed and administered the Campus Security Authority training within Canvas for all CSAs (as defined by law), both internal and external. Coordinated with appropriate campus offices to maintain an accurate list of buildings and properties owned/controlled by ASU. Remained abreast of pending and final changes to the Clery Act and other laws (Title IX) or regulations affecting Clery Act provisions and share information with stakeholders.
