Through this work I actively participate and collaborate in interdisciplinary research and development projects. I lead and engage members in strategic projects that support organizational and research objectives while optimizing and troubleshooting new and existing processes. As the Research Operations Manager, I am in charge of implementing and developing QMS systems, I ensure GLP laboratory practices are in place, and I am team lead on projects. I also process Coloursmith SR&ED claims, Purchase laboratory supplies & equipment while creating budgets for projects, and ensure inventory management and equipment upkeep. My main project involves the synthesis of multi-generation dendrimers and dendrons, and covalent attachment to routine polymers to create dendronized polymers for applications as Anti-Scalants and biofilm inhibition. This work included synthesis and characterization of small to large macromolecules by NMR, and MS. This project is in collaboration with an industrial partner. Thesis supervisors are Dr. Ashok Kakkar and Theo van de Ven.
