I have six years of instructional experience in secondary classrooms. I have served as a mentor to first year teachers in the Shawnee Mission School District for the past two years. In this role, I worked along side new teachers and aided them in navigating their way through their first and second years in the classroom. I have served as the International Languages Division Coordinator and organized budgets and inventories for the French, German, Russian, and Spanish departments. In addition to those duties, I have also worn the hat of coach and served as Boys and Girls freshman soccer coa ch as well as Boys Freshman Basketball coach over the last six years. I consider these roles as great opportunities to teach young men and women about work ethic, trust, teamwork, integrity, and other characteristics of an athlete that translate into the real world. I have also had the pleasure of serving on several leadership counsels in the high school which promote leadership and citizenship among our young people.
