William R. (Bill) Dantini is a writer living in Raleigh, NC. His latest book is "CLOSURE and Other Stories," published in 2020. Like his other books, this short story anthology weaves historical events with fictional storylines. His previous novels are "Dead Wrong: The Second Assassination of Abraham Lincoln", a retelling of the great American tragedy; "The Port Jackson Paisans", a comic tale of small-town mafia wannabes; and "Thou Shalt Not", the confessional of a wayward Catholic priest. He has been a contributing author for magazines and newspapers, and has written video scripts and television spots. Aviation History magazine featured his account of the first transatlantic stowaway in its July 2020 issue. Bill Dantini was born in Amsterdam, NY. He received a B.A. in English at St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY, and did his postgraduate work at the University of Louisville. He served as a writer and manager for General Electric Company before co-founding Business-to-Business Marketing Communications (BtB) and operating Dantini & Associates in Raleigh, NC. His GE roles included assignments with the Lighting Division in Hendersonville, NC; the Plastics Division in Pittsfield, MA; the Consumer Products Division in Louisville, KY; Aerospace Electronics in Utica, NY; Corporate Marketing Communications in Albany, NY; Semiconductors in Auburn and Syracuse, NY; and the Microelectronics Division in Research Triangle Park, NC, where he served as a Section Level manager. Now retired, he occasionally consults and writes in the marcom space. He devotes the majority of his time to creative writing and volunteer work with the V.A. Hospital in Durham, NC.
