Led all aspects for the start up and successful commencement of operations for the Academy to include staffing, documentation, student recruitment, facilities acquisition and management, and contracted support services to open the school ahead of projected schedule. Work closely with the Board of Directors individually and collectively to achieve best outcomes and policies for success of the Academy. Apprise Board through monthly meetings, emails, calls and personal visits to ensure solid communication flow and enable sound decision making on critical issues. Ensure parents and students are kept informed and allow multiple opportunities for personal engagement and feedback. Successfully developed and advocated multiple grants and other financial support mechanisms through personal initiative with local businesses and nonprofit organizations. Developed and executed all strategic communications, community relations, and media outreach. Well recognized as an effective communicator in local print and television. Efforts have led positive and pervasive image of the program amongst regional high schools and JROTC units, leading to increased interest amongst parents and students to attend. As principal staff officer for a 3-Star Command, provided policy guidance and direction to other General Officer Staffs along with Reserve specific guidance to Headquarters Marine Corps. Created metrics based approach to investment and divesture programs. Transformed to new business model based on manpower, training, and facility readiness to guide future planning and investments. This programmatic approach is still being used to guide the Marine Corps Reserve’s Capital investment strategy

Provided noted superior support to several national and international exercises. Personal performance and engagement led to personal invitation by Israel to participate in International Disaster Management Course and by United Nations to participate in Civil Military Operations Basic and Advanced Courses. Assisted in planning and preparations for security of 2006 Winter Olympics by supporting European Command and the Department of State. Worked frequently with Defense, State Department, and Foreign Governments on strategies and plans in minimize aftermath of CBRN incidents through enhanced understating of capabilities, policies and goals. Supported operations as part of Joint Task Force Katrina, rapidly improved response times and coordination in support of civil authorities. During Katrina operations, worked extensively with Federal, Defense, State and Local agencies to craft policy guidance for leaders on the ground in a time sensitive and chaotic environment.
