In this position, I took on both a software development role and a consulting role.I worked on developing an inject for a large wargame using the Unity game engine, and attended several talks and pitches about the future of technology in wargaming. As an industry, professional wargaming hasn't seen a tech boom as large as most other industries of its likeness yet, so CASL wanted me to help them both to determine how to navigate the everchanging waters of technology and also to help determine reasonable expectations for both themselves and their clients. I also helped playtest and run games, and I staffed Connections 2023, the largest professional wargaming conference to date.At the end of my internship, I presented to CASL my thoughts on Unity and nascent technologies such as AI and VR, and I also discussed my thoughts on how the professional wargaming industry was handling these technologies and advised the organization on how to best handle future applications of these technologies going forward. I summarized all of my thoughts in a 17-page report for them afterward.

In this position, I assisted teaching students system-level concepts, and became highly proficient in debugging system-level code for system-level projects (Customizable Shell, Threadpool, Custom Memory Allocator, Personal Secure Server projects).I held 7-13 office hours per week where I assisted queues of up to 90 students.
