In my role as a Trading assistant I oversee stock levels in our warehouse, and ensure we have enough goods to allocate to our stores. Using data analysis and communicating with suppliers, this is a balancing act to not overstock, but also ensure that our customers have goods to purchase in store. Proficient in outlook, excel, word, and numerous ordering and data systems in Aldi (MMS, MMP,etc).Also work in Special buys and Christmas stock to ensure all stock comes through the warehouse and into stores for a certain deadline/on sale date. Forecasting products using previous years data and information, in order to have sufficient stock for any increases, etc. Take responsibility of allocations of stock to stores using Aldi system (MMS, MMP).A fast paced environment, communicating with suppliers as well as several departments within to achieve all the above.

My day-to-day job included greeting external drivers delivering stock to the warehouse, ensuring goods are in the correct place, and all relevant paperwork was correct and overseeing health and safety. I also took charge of our special buys goods, allocating to stores with reference to previous sales and making sure it reached all stores in time for an on sale date. Overseeing my team included building relationships, making sure they were hitting targets, return to works, etc.
