Sr. Director, Cybersecurity, Identity And Access Management
Responsible for leading the operations, engineering, security, and service delivery of Capital One's global multi-cloud enterprise Identity and Directory Services environment of over twenty products including Active Directory, Azure AD, Google Cloud Domain Directory, Azure\Google Directory Sync, LDAP, Microsoft Identity Manager, Biometric Identity Verification, and MFA\FIDO2 Registration including:- Managing a geographically distributed team of high performing technical leaders and engineers responsible for delivering and maintaining reliable, cost effective and agile enterprise level Identity and Directory Services platforms that enable the lines of business to meet Capital One objectives- Creating and leading virtual teams across the business to deliver enterprise-wide initiatives that solve complex problems, enhance security, and improve the associate experience- Initiating and leading Capital One to become one of the first major banks to move its workforce to Passwordless authentication, eliminate an entire set of risks, and develop brand new strong identity verification services leveraging biometrics and government documents- Reducing Active Directory spend by $4M while also supporting an increased volume of transactions- Proactively recommended and implemented stronger password standards that aligned with current NIST, PCI, and CIS guidance while also reducing associate friction, reducing password incidents by 55%, and being the main driver reducing Help Desk wait times from thirty minutes to thirty seconds- Developing the mission and vision for the Identity and Directory Services organization that leverages modern platforms, optimizes the use of cloud services, and embraces software engineering and automation- Led the IAM component of the SBA Paycheck Protection Program enabling staff to connect to external SBA systems enabling funding for over 15K businesses totaling over $1.23B in assistance
