I started and led the OIG’s Civil Recovery Unit, which recovered public funds lost due to fraud, false claims and other wrongful conduct through civil actions. I was responsible for the development and execution of CRU’s investigative and litigation strategies. During my tenure, CRU's work led to the recovery of over $4 million for the state and local governments, including:• Investigation of statewide predatory telemarketing operation targeting municipalities, which recovered $850,000 on behalf of the state and more than 40 cities and towns and resulted in debarment of companies and principals• Investigations of state bridge contractors for false claims, which recovered more than $750,000 and included multi-year monitorship of one firm• Investigation and recovery of $1.65 million from retail electricity supplier for violations under clean energy program• Settlements with 17 former state troopers for overtime abuse, recovering over $260,000 in restitution• Collaborations with state agencies to recover funds under statewide contract and lease of state property for overbilling and failure to pay rentCRU collaborated with other OIG divisions and state agencies, including the Attorney General’s Office, to investigate matters involving the state and local governments. I also developed and led trainings for state and local officials on fraud prevention and best practices in public procurement and contract enforcement.

Member of Board of Directors of the Elizabeth Peabody House. The mission of the Elizabeth Peabody House is to support families in reaching their full potential through early childhood education, youth development and enrichment, and family services.

Recommended appointments to city boards and commissions with regulatory or decision-making authority. Over its one-year inaugural term, the Committee recommended individuals for appointment to 23 seats on 11 different city boards and commissions.
