As a Technical Specialist, my job roles included placing and tracking purchase orders for nuclear safety and non-safety related material, evaluated technical purchase requirements for ASME Code material, completed Basic Systems training for Brunswick Nuclear Plant (BWR), reviewed engineering changes as a procurement representative, and supported on-line scheduled work activities by attending work planning meetings.

In addition to my current job description, I also performed equivalency evaluations for obsolete materials, generated commercial grade dedication material evaluations. I was named as a member of the Human Performance Core Team (HUCT) in which I established the Materials and Contract Services unit level Key Performance Indicator for Human Performance, tracked and trended the unit level Human Performance clock resets, supported the site wide Human Performance Core Team, and presented the Human Performance section of the Mechanical Maintenance November 2009 Safety Meeting. I also attended multi-industry pump seminar (PUMPTEC 2009) as a Progress Energy representative. I performed commercial grade supplier surveys as a Technical Specialist.

Position responsibilities included providing supervision on hiking, camping, and kayaking trips through out the week, and conduct leadership training for high school student aged campers.

My job functions included designing a manufacturing conveyor line through team-orientated engineering, analyzed key components of a folder/gluer conveyor line, enhanced operation of a patented material input sub-assembly, examined machine design to ensure customer satisfaction in design specifications, redesigned on-site machines to improve output efficiency, and converted two-dimensional part drawings to three-dimensional assembly drawings.
