My role at MCC included the management of all staff and activities involved in monthly period close, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll. For a 4 month period, this comprised successful achievement of period close within 4 working days for two separate MCC sites. Activities also included full balance sheet reconciliations, stock controls, reconciliations and management reporting. I was also fully involved in all aspects of SOX compliance and statutory audits.

Interim role to audit the balance sheet of a recently acquired subsidiary. Activities included full review of all balance sheet nominal accounts, investigation into Sage financial transaction history, and a fully detailed report outlining recommendations for full incorporation of subsidiary balance sheet into main Howden management and statutory accounts.

Responsible for FP&A activities within Dell SecureWorks. Led the transition of legacy SecureWorks applications and processes to Dell following acquisition. Controlled and managed complex and varied commission plans for c35 Sales Executives. Member of Operations Management Team responsible for driving strategy and business improvement. Supported the expansion of the company sales and billing activities from UK to several EMEA and Middle East locations

Responsible for annual financial plan, forecasting, monthly results production and review, and detailed cashflow management. Heavily involved in establishing key stakeholder relationships - eg with shareholders, banks and suppliers. Successfully transitioned from a multi-national to SME environment.

As Financial Controller, I had a diverse portfolio of responsibilities, including reporting/forecasting, business planning, sarbanes-oxley compliance, accounts receivable management, project accounting, and financial stewardship of SAIC's India operation.

Started my career with the then South of Scotland Electricity Board, held a number of roles and was from 1997-2000 the Finance Manager for ScottishPower's IT Division before moving to SAIC via a Joint Venture with SP.
