About William Ehrlich M.D. Faacs
I could work in either an ophthalmology practice (as an oculo-facial & cosmetic surgeon) or a dermatology practice, providing procedural and cosmetic dermatology. (repairing Mohs defects; fat grafting to the face, breasts, and hands; performing true tumescent liposuction of the face and body; biopsy and lesion removal; and oculo-facial surgery) Most of my cosmetic surgery can be done without IV sedation, without an anesthesiologist, in an office surgical room, and does not require a surgical center. I am board certified in ophthalmology, fellowship trained in oculo-facial surgery, and fully trained in the latest techniques of minimally invasive cosmetic, dermatologic surgery. After over 32,000 hours performing cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, I am both a reconstructive and a cosmetic surgeon, with unusual breadth and depth of surgical experience. I have lectured about and taught facial fat grafting nationally and internationally. Sub-dermal radiofrequency now allows minimally invasive skin tightening without systemic anesthesia or prolonged down time. From 1987 to 2008 in Michigan, I was one of the first surgeons in the Midwest to actively perform Botox injections, CO2 laser facial resurfacing, laser hair removal, intense pulsed light treatments, microdermabrasion, true tumescent liposuction, facial fat grafting, and minimal incision facelifts. In 2011, I was the first surgeon in Oklahoma to perform office Natural Breast Augmentation (fat transfer to the breasts) using only tumescent anesthesia and oral sedation. My career has been dedicated to the caring, compassionate, skillful delivery of safe, effective, minimally invasive reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. Patients deserve a truthful, independent advocate in the confusing world of oculo-facial and cosmetic surgery, someone who will try to guide them with empathy and good humor while skillfully addressing their surgical and treatment wants and needs.I look forward to hearing from either an ophthalmology or dermatology group that incorporates cosmetic and aesthetic procedures in their practice, and I'm excited to begin a new chapter in my career.
