In this role, I have contributed to Dr. Wess Mitchell’s forthcoming monograph by conducting research, compiling memos, and locating historical maps; prepared memos for Dr. Mitchell on foreign policy and national security issues; completed research for Dr. Mitchell in advance of media appearances; and supported Dr. Jakub Grygiel with his recent monograph Classics and Strategy by suggesting edits, structuring footnotes, synthesizing a bibliography, generating an index, and shepherding the book through the publication process.

As research associate and personal assistant to Ambassador Dennis Ross, I assisted Ambassador Ross in numerous capacities, including: myriad research tasks for articles, essays, and larger projects; organizing trips and speaking events, including for his book tour for his most recent book Be Strong and of Good Courage: How Israel's Most Important Leaders Shaped Its Destiny (September 2019, Public Affairs), co-written by David Makovsky; arranging meetings, including with senior American and foreign officials; scheduling and coordinating interviews with American and foreign media outlets; assisting Amb. Ross with the three classes he teaches at Georgetown University; handling financials; negotiating contracts and honoraria; and completing other tasks. I also assisted General Michael Herzog, the current Israeli Ambassador to the United States, as part of my responsibilities. This included both editing work and logistical work (arranging flights, trains, hotels, etc.)Moreover, I also performed primary source research for Dr. Martin Kramer.

I worked in the Washington Institute's Middle East Peace Process program under Mr. David Makovsky. My primary task was helping Mr. Makovsky on the final stages of his book Be Strong and of Good Courage: How Israel's Most Important Leaders Shaped Its Destiny, co-written by Mr. Makovsky and Ambassador Dennis Ross. This involved research, fact-checking, writing footnotes, writing a bibliography, writing memos, and helping with edits. While in this capacity, I also wrote memos to Mr. Makovsky about issues relating to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and wider Middle East events, staffed public and private events at the Washington Institute, and took notes for Mr. Makovsky at events around Washington that would then be delivered to Mr. Makovsky.

While at the Bipartisan Policy Center, I wrote blogs about the Yemeni Civil War, July 2018 NATO summit, and the FY2019 National Defense Authorization Act's implications for US-Turkey relations; contributed to policy paper by researching the history of federalism in the Middle East and finding lessons applicable to modern Syria and Iraq; researched the June-July 2018 Southern Syria offensive and assessed its part in the trajectory of the Syrian Civil War; and helped staff events.

As Co-President of Yale’s only student-run think tank, I oversaw seven centers (Security and Foreign Policy, International Development, Education, etc.), directed over seventy students, organized meetings, and planned programs. Before serving as Co-President, in the Security and Foreign Policy Center, I directed a thirteen-person team researching the possibilities for U.S.-India cooperation in the Middle East and East Asia; led a team researching the ongoing refugee crisis; and researched European migration trends before the refugee crisis.

I assisted in researching book by former Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Mr. Douglas Feith exploring the last 200 years of Israeli history in the context of regional and global power realities, specifically focusing on British imperial policy towards what is today Israel and the wider Middle East during and after World War I.

As Co-President of Yale Friends of Israel, I devised, approved and coordinated events for, and lead personnel of, Yale’s non-partisan pro-Israel organization. Before becoming Co-President, I published newsletters and managed the organization’s Facebook page.

As Online Editor, for two years I edited articles written by peers and managed The Yale Globalist’s Facebook page. Before that, as a blogger for the Globalist, I wrote about Europe’s role on the international stage. My five articles covered the topics of: Europe’s intervention against ISIS; the conflict in Ukraine; the European response to the West African Ebola outbreak; Hungary's turn to illiberal democracy; and Italy and the Mediterranean refugee crisis.

Assisted researchers with their queries in the National Archives research room; answered letters from researchers with questions regarding content and process; examined American-British correspondence about Nazi agents, newspapers created by German prisoners of war during World War II, and the Mauthausen Death Books
