I started my career out of college as one of the youngest directors of a cardio-pulmonary department with National Medical Enterprises. I had the responsibility of bringing each department to profitability as soon as possible, generally within a 6 month period. I rose to a position of assistant regional manager for Florida area within two years. I worked as a critical therapist therapist in NICU's, CCU's, SICU's, BICU's, TICU's and ER before deciding to move in a new career direction by accepting a sales position in the home medical equipment field. I fell in love with the challenge of product sales and found it relatively simply to meet and exceed my goals due to my ability to communicate on a clinical level but also apply my outgoing, honest and service oriented character traits to the process. I took a position with Radiometer of America, Inc. as a transcutaneous monitoring specialist. The company had fallen under 80% of quota 3 strait years prior to my accepting the position. I traveled throughout the southeastern US to work closely with each of 7 reps to introduce the product into new clinical settings allowing us to increase product sells to over 360% of quota.Following Radiometer I would apply my knowledge to play an integral part of four successful home medical equipment startups. I developed strategic market strategies, negotiated contract equipment pricing, hired and managed sales and office staffing and marketed out products and services to hospitals, physician practices, and media advertising.I have personally owned and operated two medical equipment companies and sold following the successful growth of each.I have developed and launched a Part B Palliative Care program for three companies in Atlanta. This involved the program design, policy and procedures, marketing collateral, hiring of medical staff, training and education of services to sales staff and marketing and education to medical community.
