I completed 88M School in August 2010 where I demonstrated exemplary leadership skills and was assigned as class leader for the second phase of the course. By out-performing my peers in all written and driving exams I achieved honor grad status upon completion of the course. As a Truck Driver (88M) in the United States Army I am responsible for proper Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) and safe operation of any military wheeled vehicles assigned to me by my current unit commander. I, also, deployed with the 1245th Transportation Company from December 2012 to September 2013. I was assigned as Squad Leader and as Scout Truck Commander for my platoon. As Squad Leader, I was responsible with accountability and training of my ten soldiers. As Scout Truck Commander, I was responsible for my truck and crew as well as the front security of the convoy. I kept accountability of all communication equipment, GPS equipment, tracking equipment, crew serve weapons, personal weapons, scout truck light kit, Hellfire weapon mounted light, night vision equipment, basic issue items, two mine rollers, and my crew personnel. My job was to observe and report any abnormalities or dangers ahead of the convoy, and to be the first line of defense and the first response to threats. I completed the deployments with zero incidents or losses. Assigned equipment totaled over $1M.After redeployment, I have been an integral part of company operations, served as a squad leader in two different platoons, and as a platoon sergeant of one platoon with 44 assigned soldiers. I presented and oversaw a plan to implement a functional layout of the motor pool to the truck master after the relocation of 1245th TC to Ada, OK. I, also, assist in planning company tasks in monthly 30, 60, 90 meetings.

As a Surface Maintenance Mechanic I was responsible for the maintenance and general upkeep of all supported units’ wheeled vehicles including HMMWVs, all FMTVs, generators, and trailers. The general upkeep of said vehicles includes, but is not limited to, checking and replacing/repairing leaks (including exhaust and fluids), batteries, headlights, taillights, wheel hubs, differentials, drive lines, instrument panels, obvious damage to the body, doors, and windshields, and checking and filling grease certs and fluids. During this routine annual service of vehicles, when complications arise, I troubleshot and repaired any additional deficiencies observed. I performed routine bimonthly visits to supported units to receive wheeled vehicles requiring maintenance and also assisted the units with vehicles that required further maintenance by transporting vehicles to Command Surface Maintenance Shop (CSMS).As part of my job duties, I was responsible for completing several forms, including: DA FORM 2404 (Deficiency Report), DA FORM 5988-E (Maintenance and Inspection Worksheet), Annual Service Checklist, DA FORM 2407-E (Maintenance Request – to report maintenance status), time sheets for all jobs, and a Manual Inventory Sheet to be input into SAMS-1E. I monitored the Annual Service Checklist to obtain information regarding vehicles requiring annual service checks.To assist me in the completion of all necessary job functions, I completed several classes including: a Forklift Operation Class, a Battery Class (by PulseTech Products Co.), a Calibrations Class (TMDE), and an Equal Employment Opportunity Class (EEO).I also assisted in the successful completion of the 345th Command Evaluation Team (COMET) inspection by helping to assure all wheeled vehicles were fully mission capable (correcting deficiencies and updating proper paperwork).

As Radio and communications security (COMSEC) Technician, I was responsible with inspection, fault finding, and repair of Army communication equipment and all equipment associated with those communication devices. Communication equipment that I am responsible for repairing included, but was not limited to, all models of Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radios (SINCGARS), power amplifiers, loud speakers, mounting bases, and antenna. I learned to effectively load a SINCGARS using several fill devices, including an ANCD and a KYK-13. My duties as a machinist at APS are to evaluate and machine Auxiliary Power Unit parts in order to get them back to their original manufacturer working specifications. I machine the parts under-sized, then prepare them to be plasma sprayed, then machine the parts to within manufacturer tolerance before they are reassembled into the engine.

As a Project Manager I met with home and business owners about storm damage to structural properties. I inspected roofs, doors, gutters, windows, siding, air conditioning units, ventilation, and fencing for storm related damage, and assisted and advised owners of their rights and procedures for filing insurance claims to fund property repairs and replacement. I collected payments, and finalized projects after getting proper satisfactory approval from the home and business owners to close out jobs. Finally, I ensured the insurance company was aware of all repairs and replacements done to properties, and sent a final invoice for the entire project.

As a Receiving Clerk, I was responsible for maintaining, tracking, monitoring, and regulating all inbound trailer loads during first shift (0600-1430). I was responsible for checking in all "live unload" drivers which consists of timing in the drivers Bill of Lading, assigning them a door, entering them into that door in AS400, printing an appointment sheet for the receiver to use to receive the load into EXE, and monitoring the status of the trailer load as it is being received. After the trailer was unloaded, I completed and timed out the their Bill of Lading, checked the driver out of AS400, printed a verification report, and closed the load out of the receiving system after it was audited.I am proficient in all BigLots operating systems. These systems (in order of precedence) are: GC3 (main operating/tracking system), AS400 (nationally linked sub-operating system), Analyze (DC tracking system), and EXE (distribution center operating system).Additionally, I was also in charge of managing the physical processing side of the OSCO buyout contract. I managed as many as 150 temporary employees; to include three leads, five clerks, and delegation of numerous temps to various other departments in the distribution center; during the course of the project. I was responsible with keeping track of attendance, assigning work areas, supervising the work process, and monitoring the full procedure from when the product arrived in the distribution center to when the product was finished being processed. I oversaw and managed over $25 million in processed OSCO product, and over $1.5 million in man-hours (over 120,000 man-hours). At the end of the day, I closed out the day’s paperwork and prepared a new attendance sheet and new work assignment sheets. Also, I conferred with the Inventory Control department daily, assisting them with any questions they had about the status of each trailer load of OSCO product.

As Control Desk Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO), I was responsible for managing and overseeing the in and out-processing all detainees in the Iraq theater. I was in charge of Processing in the Internment Housing Area (IHA) at Camp Cropper.When detainees arrived, I received the detainee packets from the Front Control Desk, and verified and logged their capturing unit and capture tags. While the detainees were being processed, I logged the Internment Serial Numbers (ISNs) that were issued to each, and I ensured all capture information was properly entered into the Biometrics Automated Toolset (BAT) and the Detainee Reporting System (DRS). I also pulled the detainee capture status into the Detainee Management System (DMS) from BAT. I scheduled and conducted all releases and transfers in DRS, and ensured the detainees were reflected accordingly in DMS. I assisted the camp Tactical Operations Center (TOC), camp Detainee Operations Center (DOC), Joint Detainee Interrogation Center (JDIC), 115th Combat Support Hospital (CSH), 744th Battalion, 300th Brigade, Theater Detainee Reporting Center (TDRC) at Camp Liberty, Iraq, National Detainee Reporting Center (NDRC) at the Pentagon, and any other outside organization in any detainee related inquiries. Additionally, I provided TDRC and NDRC with the daily update of Camp Cropper detainee enrollment status. Lastly, I supervised all the soldiers in the IHA processing room by creating their work schedules and managing who went on the detainee air transfers to Camp Bucca and who went to receive new detainees at the Baghdad International Airport (BIAP). Additionally, I was accountable for eighteen soldiers who worked directly for me.
