In the nearly three year period I have worked at Avonline, I have managed projects from start to finish, delivering networks serving more than 100,000 homes in the North. I have played an outsized role in the scaling of the business over this period developing best practices that are now used nationwide.Working on our turnkey contracts, I have collaborated closely with our design partner through weekly calls, fostering a space for two-way feedback. By actively addressing and eliminating the blame culture that existed when I joined, I have helped cultivate a more respectful and productive working relationship between our team and the design partner. This collaboration has optimised design and risk management, cutting costs and increasing margins.I was instrumental in the creation of our build review process. To keep the client informed on project progress, I organize weekly calls where both operational team members and client representatives gather to discuss potential risks to delivery. This has driven a shift in culture towards a much more open relationship with the client. Together, we collaborate to find solutions that are both time- and cost-efficient.I have created two applications: one that engineers use to send completed work back to the office giving a live view of progress and a second used to create permit applications for work when applicable. This project also created the opportunity to utilize individual-level productivity data to enhance performance management. The effectiveness of these tools, and the rest of my work enabling more informed decision making, led me to be shortlisted from over 100 nominations for the "Rising Star Award" at M Group's 2024 Beyond Expectations Awards.I have operational management experience with a team of engineers responsible for the testing of completed works. I have shown my ability to deliver personally and while leading a team.

Worked in the contaminated land team, carried out site investigations, wrote reports and communicated with clients. As part of a project, I developed a tool that automatically processed large datasets and compared them to governmental guidelines. Using this tool, I provided clients with tailored advice on our most suitable services for their needs and budget.

Worked as a barista in a busy coffee shop on the waterfront. Trusted to run the shop autonomously Monday - Friday and to order necessary supplies.

Worked as a senior bartender at a very busy, well respected restaurant in the heart of Wellington. Effective communication with colleagues and customers was essential to ensure the high quality and high paced service expected.

Using the internal record system I created Excel spreadsheets with various functionalities to illustrate Sugar Traders’ raw data in usable formats.
