William S Friedlander graduated from Boston University and Stetson College of Law. With offices in Ithaca, New York, he concentrates his practice in school violence and misconduct litigation and nursing home abuse. He is a founder and former member of the Board of Directors of the New York Academy of Trial Lawyers, serves as Immediate Past Chair of the New York State Bar Association Trial Lawyer Section and is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers. He is nominated by his peers as a Superlawyer. He is active in the American Association of Justice. His bar participation includes serving as past Chair of AAJ sections including the Small Firm Practice and the Family Law sections. He also served as Chair of Litigation groups involving Firearms and Ammunition and co- founded the Schools Safety and Violence Litigation Group and the New York State Nursing Home Litigation Group. He has served as President of his local Bar association and member of the House of Delegates for the New York State Bar.He has been editor for both AAJ Family Law and Small Firm sections’ newsletters and has published many articles in legal publications including The Plaintiff’s Magazine, Trial, and Victim’s Advocate.He lectures extensively throughout the United States.He formed the Marcellus Shale Gas Litigation Group with other regional and national law firms to coordinate knowledge and resources on behalf of landowners facing problems related to royalty and gas exploration and drilling in the Marcellus Shale.Practice concentrations: Schools Violence, Abuse and Misconduct; Nursing Home Abuse, Birth injuries and Medical Malpractice.
