Since 2008, I have been composing and contributing music to independent narrative and documentary films. Because of my abilities as a multi-instrumentalist (strings, keys, percussion, woodwinds, horns) and recording engineer I am able to produce and realize honest and authentic scores, using real acoustic instrumentation and analog recording processes, that range from intimate solo instrumentation to fully fleshed out orchestrations found in contemporary chamber music, indie rock, pop, folk, and world music as a solo endeavor. I operate out of my studio in Petaluma, California that was built in a great sounding converted chicken barn from the early 1900's. The studio is equipped with a wide array of unique and loved instruments, vintage analog recording equipment, a collection of rare and classic microphones, and a high quality digital recording/mixing setup. Because of this setup, I am able to keep my costs relatively low, and be able to create organic high quality recordings in the same time it would take other's to produce a midi mockup.

While studying composition and Improvised music at Mills College I studied composition and improvisation with Fred Frith and Roscoe Mitchell, audio production and composition with Maggi Payne, and Cello performance and composition with Joan Jeanrenaud (formerly of Kronos quartet). As a multi-instrumentalist I have contributed to over 30 records by artists such as DM Stith, Paper Bird, Sole, Astronautalis, Powerdove, and Cock and Swan.
