About William Galinsky
I am Director of Programming and Impact at JW3, the Jewish Community and Cultural Centre. I spent a decade as a theatre director and teaching in drama schools and then a further decade at the helm of two international arts festivals - Norfolk & Norwich Festival (2011-2017) and Cork Midsummer Festival (2007-2010) - where I specialised in commissioning and producing new work across a variety of art forms. Highlights include Robert Wilson's WALKING for London 2012, Wildwork's WOLF'S CHILD with the National Trust at Felbrigg Hall and a very wet production of The Tempest at Great Yarmouth's Victorian Circus Hippodrome for Shakespeare 400 (which I also directed). I have experience of producing innovative new projects across genres and of cultural place-making. Recent adventures include leading on the cultural programme for Nottingham's European Capital of Culture bid and Citizen of Nowhere with National Theatre of Scotland, exploring art-technology-civil society. Other projects include curator/producer for Waltham Forest Tours, Waltham Forest London Borough of Culture 2019; as well as a project for Brent London Borough of Culture 2020. I was Creative Programmer for Kirklees Year of Music 2023 where I commissioned the award winning HERD from Artichoke. More recent adventures at JW3 include the worlds first professional Jewish Panto and the 8 storey high London Jewish Mural.
Listed skills include Performing Arts, Arts Administration, Event Management, Theatre, and 10 others.
