During my internship, I had the opportunity to work on a pivotal project focused on the design and development of a track exchange system and the construction of trolleys. My key responsibilities and accomplishments included: • Track Exchange Design: Designed a sophisticated track exchange mechanism, ensuring seamless and efficient switching operations. Utilised CAD software to create detailed schematics and collaborated closely with the engineering team to refine and optimise the design. • Trolley Construction: Led the construction of multiple trolleys, focusing on both functionality and durability. Applied principles of mechanical engineering to ensure that the trolleys met all required specifications and safety standards. • Collaboration & Teamwork: Worked alongside senior engineers and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot design issues and implement improvements. Gained valuable insights into the collaborative nature of engineering projects. • Technical Documentation: Created comprehensive technical documentation and assembly manuals for the track exchange and trolley systems, facilitating future maintenance and enhancements.This internship provided me with hands-on experience in mechanical design and engineering, enhancing my skills in CAD, project management, and teamwork.
