My philosophy for my designs has really changed over the last couple of years. It’s now down to two words really: “Have fun”. I got into graphic designing as a teenager because it opened up new challenges, and was fun in ways that I’d never thought possible on a computer. I stayed with it because I’ve never lost that sense of wonder in being able to make my ideas become real. I’ve also found that I do my best work now when I’m relaxing, and just having fun. This isn’t to say necessarily light or frivolous works, simply which I like to focus on things that interest me, and that I find challenging to work on. Essentially: projects that are fun. Why else would I do it right?I’ve also discovered that I really like to share my ideas, and designs. I have the most fun just sitting back and watching people react to a finished and polished design that I have completed for them. It’s a level of satisfaction that I haven’t been able to compare to anything else in my life thus far. In the end, though, it all comes down to the simple fact that the design made me smile when I thought it up, and I’d like to share the fun.-William Geist
