Referenced electrical lighting plans to plan out, install, and label lighting and emergency lighting circuits. Retrofitted 120+ generator transfer devices into existing lighting fixtures to allow for emergency operation. Coordinated with coworkers and other contractors for safe and timely installation of lighting circuits and fixtures in accordance with NEC standards in time for area inspections. Assisted with on-the-job training to new coworkers in plan reading, bending and installing conduit, as well as device wiring and installation. Work was performed for schools in the Houston area and required constant overtime to meet tight deadlines.

Performed ghost writing of administrative and paper change Design Change Packages with accompanying Document Change Notices and submitted these documents to supervising engineers for review. Participated in plant walk-downs to verify existing emergency light positions and numberings in reference to lighting layout drawings, noting any discrepancies. Aided in the submittal of over 60 of these drawings for revision. Inspected 30+ newly revised electrical drawings to verify correct Document Change Notice incorporations. Any incorrectly revised documents were noted and re-submitted. Utilized the ORACLE database to reference drawings, manufacturer’s notes, and other design information for use in developing Document Change Notices for correction of document specifications and details. Reviewed electrical calculation documents and noted errors at the electrical calculation update project review meeting.
