I am a California licensed clinical psychologist with over 25 years of experience in the field. Early in my career, I administered a mental health clinic integrated with two large medical groups, providing direct patient care. I later transitioned to Aetna, where I have held various leadership roles over the past 22 years, supporting the company's behavioral health initiatives. This has involved responsibilities such as behavioral health innovation, product development, strategy, behavioral integration within the enterprise (medical, CVS pharmacy, disability, EAP) and with external partners (BH provider partners, Joint Ventures, ACOs, Institutes of Quality, Value Based Contracted provider groups), program design, subject matter expert customer support, clinical operations, quality management, and cost/trend analysis support. In my current role as Senior Clinical Director, I am part of a leadership team responsible for developing and enabling behavioral health products and capabilities across the CVS/Aetna enterprise. I work closely with plan sponsors to provide insights on key trend drivers, educate on current benefit offerings, and strategize how to optimize current and emerging capabilities. I am also responsible for launching and overseeing the performance of large external provider partnerships. Additionally, I lead our behavioral health initiatives supporting our ACO and Joint Venture partners, with the goal of providing behavioral health solutions and innovations that better support the mental wellbeing needs of our members and customers, including improving access, awareness, navigation, medical cost impact, growth, and complex member support.
