In my role as Network Systems Administrator at FMRS Health Systems, I oversee the full range of network operations, security, and support for our 150-person organization, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity across all locations. I specialize in strengthening network integrity and optimizing IT infrastructure to enhance user experience and data protection.I manage and monitor LAN, WAN, and Internet systems, working to ensure consistent network availability and minimize downtime. I also lead complex IT initiatives, such as our transition from an on-premises Active Directory to Azure AD, which has significantly enhanced data security and operational efficiency. Security and compliance are at the forefront of my work; I implement advanced security protocols across network endpoints, enforce HIPAA-compliant practices, and administer policies like E-Discovery and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) to protect sensitive information. Additionally, I provide 24/7 on-call support for network engineering, quickly resolving issues with network devices like firewalls, Cisco ASA, Watchguard, and Sonicwall to keep our systems running smoothly. To ensure we are prepared for emergencies, I conduct comprehensive backup and disaster recovery operations, safeguarding our data and enabling swift recovery when needed. I also offer empathetic, user-focused support tailored to staff with varying levels of technical expertise, making processes more accessible and enhancing overall productivity. One of my proudest achievements was restoring operations within 24 hours following an unexpected arson incident, demonstrating my commitment to operational continuity and resilience under challenging circumstances.
