Handling all aspects of civil litigation from beginning to end. I meet with clients before suit is filed. I survey their situation and help them understand the legal claims to which they may be entitled and the defenses to those claims they will likely encounter. I compile and organize evidence they need to support their claims and avoid the defenses. I analyze evidence such as contracts, medical records and official documents to determine. I make persuasive arguments in person, over the phone and in writing. I initiate legal action when necessary. I prepare all documents needed in the scope of a lawsuit. I conduct discovery including making and responding to written requests for information, site inspections, taking and defending depositions of clients, opposing parties, fact witnesses and expert witnesses. I contact and develop working relationships with expert witnesses in a wide variety of specialties including insurance, engineering, economics, medicine and others. I research the law, write and respond in writting to legal motions as a case demands. I represent my arguments to judges in person when required. I prepare cases for alternative dispute resolution including judicial settlement, mediation and arbitration. I prepare a case for trial when necessary and write the necessary documents, review material and interview necessary witnesses. I present my client's cases to a judge and to a jury. When necessary I make and defend appeals to the Oklahoma Supreme Court and to the federal appellate courts.
